Resident Eligibility

All residents must have medical insurance and are responsible for their own spending money. The residents or their families are responsible for medical and dental costs, including medications not otherwise covered by insurance. Requests for medical records, psychological reports and confidential financial information are part of the application packet.

We accept persons:

    with mental retardation as the primary diagnosis;

    with IQ of 74 or below;

    who are ambulatory

    age 18 and over; and

    with Medicaid waiver or private funding.

The Dubie's Love Staff will provide daily support to the individual to enhance their independent and community living skills. Our program is currently utilizing community resources, attaining personal goals, and developing recreational and socialization skills to fit the individuals.

Please Note: We at Dubie's Love regularly and strongly advocate the use of "person-centered language." We feel that this is the best way to describe our residents.  In our source code, however, you may see terms such as  "cognitively disabled," "developmentally disabled," "cognitively impaired" or "handicapped." We use these terms not to be insensitive, but to simply attract the broadest spectrum of visitors to our web site.
